“Civility Starts Here” poster is a part of the campaign led by San Jose – Evergreen Valley Community College District (SJEVCCD) to promote civility throughout the college district.

I started by finding the true meaning of “civility” – mutual respect, politeness, and courtesy in behavior or speech. In able to engage in a respectful communication, I came up with the tagline “think carefully – listen attentively –  speak respectfully”.

The design is minimal but still able to send the main message of the campaign which is “to encourage and build a sense of civility in the community”. This poster has won 1st prize in the poster design contest hosted by SJEVCCD.
